Germination

Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost which has been firmed. Ideal temp. 15-18°C. Do not exclude light as this aids germination. Germination takes 10-15 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed.

Growing

Prefers full sun on moist, fertile well-drained soil. Water regularly until established. Requires little attention.

Cultivation

Deadhead regularly to extend flowering and encourage further blooms.
