Germination
Sow directly. Sow 5mm deep into prepared soil which is well-drained and in a sunny spot. Sow into drills 20cm apart, seeds should have 5cm spacing within a row. Germination takes 7 days approx. The plant will grow rapidly once germinated. Successional sow for continuous supply.
Growing
Easy to care for. Prefers a consistently moist soil in full sun. Weed as required.
Cultivation
If harvesting for leaves cut the stems a few cm above the base when the plants are up to 25cm tall. If growing for seed allow the plant to flower and produce this seed pods. Allow pods to ripen and turn yellow. Harvest seed just before the pods pop open.
