Germination

Sow direct. Sow 6mm deep into finely prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Germination takes 10-14 days. Thin seedlings to 25cm. May be sown in Sep. and overwintered under cloches for earlier flowering next year.

Growing

Pinch out growing tips and first set of leaves in May to create a bushier plant. Water well until established. Requires little attention.

Cultivation

Deadhead to prolong flowering window. Mulching may protect the root from frost.
