Germination

Sow under glass Feb-June. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil or vermiculite. Ideal temp. 13-15°C. Keep moist but not wet. Germination takes 14-30 days approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.

Growing

Prefers a humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full or partial sun. Does not like winter wet. In cold regions can be grown as an annual.

Cultivation

Propagate by seed or by division in spring.
