Germination

Sow indoors in spring. Sow 10mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. 24-30⁰C. Germination is rapid at this high temp. 7-14 days approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots. Grow on under glass repotting as required as the plant grows. May be moved outside on hot sunny days.

Growing

Grow under glass in the UK. Prefers any well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers hot weather. Young plants can not tolerate temps. Below 10⁰C, adult plants not below 2⁰C. Can tolerate drought but will perform better with plenty of watering.

Cultivation

The plant will produce seeds which may remain within the cotton boll produced. Seed can be removed from here and simply planted.
