Germination

Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Cover lightly with soil. Ideal temp. 18-22°C. Do not exclude light. Germination takes 5-10 days. Once germinated reduce temp. to 10-15°C and grow on. When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed. Can be sown directly Mar-Apr and in early autumn. Autumn sowing will germinate the following spring.

Growing

Prefers very well-drained soil in full sun. Dislikes winter wet.

Cultivation

Cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers.
