Germination
Sow indoors in spring or autumn. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Press seeds into the soil and just cover with a sprinkling or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or cover with a clear plastic lid to maintain humidity. Ideal temp. 20-22°C. Germination takes 14 days approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.
Growing
Dense planting gives best results. Prefers any, even poor, soil in full or partial sun. Can tolerate drought. Requires little attention. Fertilise if desired when in growth. Remove damaged foliage in spring. Does not require mowing.
Cultivation
Requires little attention. Propagate via root cuttings.
