The seed will benefit from soaking for 24-48 hours prior to sowing. Best sown directly where they are to flower after danger of frost has passed. Sow into prepared soil, raked to a fine tilth. Sow 1mm deep in rows 7cm apart. Sow sparingly. Seedlings will appear in 3-4 weeks. Thin to 30cm spacing. Replant thinned plants elsewhere. Can be started earlier indoors. Sow 3mm deep into moist seed compost. Propagate at 20°C. Germination takes 5-14 days. As soon as germination occurs prick out to individual 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.
Growing
Will only flower in full sun. Once established requires little water. Easy to grow, will require a frame or structure on which to climb.
