Germination

Can be sown year round, for improved results sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost, press seeds into soil but do not cover. Ideal temp. 18-21°C. Germination takes 10-18 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed with 30cm spacing. Can be sown directly from April into well prepared soil that has been raked to a fine tilth.

Growing

Prefers any moist but well-drained soil in full sun.

Cultivation

Deadhead regularly to extend flowering window. Propagate by seed.
