Germination

Direct sow Mar-May where they are to grow. Sow thinly 20mm deep into drills of finely prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Allow 30cm between rows. Cover the seed with soil and water. Seedlings appear in 10-12 days. Can be used as baby leaf or as a salad garnish. Both flowers and leaves are edible.

Growing

Prefers poor or average soil. Water regularly until established. Once established requires little attention.

Cultivation

Harvest leaves regularly and as required.
