Germination
Seeds are dust-like handle with caution. Sow indoors in spring. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Do not cover seed, simply press into the soil. Place in a propagator or seal in a plastic bag. Ideal temp. 18-21°C. Germination takes 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed. Can be sown directly in May-Jun. onto prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.
Growing
Prefers a sandy, well-drained soil in full sun. Will tolerate any well-drained soil. Feed and water until well established. Drought tolerant once established.
Cultivation
Will self-seed freely, deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season.
