Germination

Sow indoors. Prior to sowing soak seeds in water for 2 hours. Surface sow into modules of moist well-drained compost, just cover seeds with a sprinkling of soil. Place somewhere bright, ideal temp. 20°C. Keep moist but not wet. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Germination takes 2-3 weeks approx. After germination grow on in cooler conditions. When well grown plant out.

Growing

Prefers a fertile, moist soil in full or partial sun.

Cultivation

Deadhead flower spikes when flowering ceases. Propagate by seed or by division of plants in Mar-Apr. Division is rarely required.
