Germination

Sow indoors or under glass in spring. Sow 2mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp 20°C. Germination takes 4-5 weeks approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.

Growing

Prefers any moist but well-drained ordinary soil in full sun. Will tolerate partial sun. Dislikes winter wet, ensure there is good drainage and offer a protective winter mulch.

Cultivation

Deadhead regularly to prolong the flowering window. Propagate by seed or via division in spring.
