Germination

Sow indoors. Surface sow onto seed compost which is moist but well-drained. Only just cover with soil. Propagate at 21-24°C or put in a warm place. Light is required for germination. Germination takes 5-14 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed. Space at 20-25cm. Can be sown directly from May with 25cm spacing, keep moist until germinated.

Growing

Easy to grow in any well-drained garden soil in full sun. Do not feed.

Cultivation

Cut flowers regularly to encourage growth and to prolong flowering window or deadhead.
