Germination
Sow indoors or directly in spring. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Light is needed for germination. Ideal temp. 20°C. Germination takes up to 2 weeks. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise and plant out when danger of frost has passed.
Growing
Prefers an average, well-drained soil in partial shade. Will tolerate full sun if kept consistently moist. Easy to care for. Taller plants may require support.
Cultivation
Cut back plant after flowering. Will self-seed. Deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season.
