Germination
Sow indoors immediately. Prior to sowing remove any tufts from the seed, if present, and soak seed for 2-4 hours in warm water. Surface sow onto firm, moist well-drained seed compost. Press the seeds into the soil and just cover with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp. +13°C. Requires 8-10 hours of filtered light per day. Keep moist but not wet. Germination takes 7-10 days approx. Transplant seedlings when they have 6 true leaves into a good quality potting mix in a 12cm pot. Treat as a house plant. PLEASE NOTE SAP OF PLANT IS HIGHLY TOXIC.
Growing
Grow under heated glass in a loam-based potting compost with added sharp sand in full light with shade from hot sun. Minimum temp. 10°C.
Cultivation
No pruning required. Propagate by seed or root cuttings taken from non-flowering shoots in summer with bottom heat.
