Sow

Germination
Sow in a cold frame or directly in autumn or spring. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Cover the seed to its own depth with soil. Ideal temp. 20°C. If germination does not occur within 4 weeks cold stratify. Move seeds to -4°C-+4°C for 2-4 weeks then return to warmth for germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out when danger of frost has passed.
Growing
Will grow in almost any situation in full or partial sun. Tolerant of very alkaline soils.
