Germination
Supplied as bulbils. Sow immediately into moist well-drained compost, ideally in spring. Place in a cool, frost free greenhouse or conservatory. Germination time can vary depending on weather. Germination can take 3 months approx. Can be slow to emerge so be patient. Once plants appear grow on. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 50cm spacing.
Growing
Grow outdoors in well-drained humus-rich neutral to acid soil. Grow in good, but not direct light in a frost free area. Under glass grow in a well-drained compost. Will not tolerate water logging.
Cultivation
No pruning required. Requires a minimum temp. of 2°C in winter.
