Germination

Suited to indoor cultivation but will also grow outside. Sow indoors Feb-May for indoor cropping or later transplanting out. Sow 3 seeds vertically, 15mm deep, into 9cm pots of free draining moist seed compost. Propagate 20-21°C. Germination takes 7-10 days. Protect seedlings from direct sunlight to prevent scorching. Thin seedlings when they have 3 true leaves, move to 15cm pots. Reduce temp. to 15°C and grow on, keep compost moist not wet. When plants are 10cm tall move to final growing position. If keeping in greenhouse allow 2 plants per growbag. If planting out acclimatise for 7-10 days. Plant in rows 50cm apart. Prefers rich soil with plenty of organic matter. Can be sown directly May-Jun. Party Time is parthenocarpic, it will produce fruit without pollination.

Growing

Water regularly and thoroughly. Ideal for container planting or even in hanging baskets if space is limited. A 50cm pot is ideal. Will benefit from a trellis to climb on. Best results will be under glass but this variety will also tolerate outdoor planting.

Cultivation

Harvest regularly to encourage new growth. Pick fruits while young and tender, older fruits can become bitter. Best harvested in the morning when cool.
