Germination
Sow in a cold frame or directly in mid-late spring or in autumn. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp. 20°C. Germination takes 14 days approx. Autumn sowings will emerge the following spring. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle in clumps to their final flowering position, ideally in summer.
Growing
Prefers any consistently moist but well-drained soil in full or partial sun. May require staking.
Cultivation
Will self-seed freely. Deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season. Propagate by division in late autumn or spring.
