Germination
Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Propagate or place somewhere warm, ideal temp. 20-25°C. Germination takes 21-60 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed with 45cm spacing.
Growing
Prefers a well-drained soil with plenty of sun in a sheltered area. Soak root ball in a bucket of water prior to planting. Water well until established, after they require little water.
Cultivation
After flowering the plant takes on a beautiful autumn colouration. Cut back to ground level in Feb. By April new growth should be visible. Lift and divide mature plants after 2-3 years.
