Germination

This seed has a naturally lower germination rate. Sow indoors. Sow 5mm deep into moist well-drained seed compost. Propagate 15-20°C or place on a warm windowsill. Keep moist. Germination takes 14-28 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 45cm spacing.

Growing

Easy to grow. Pinch out growing tips to encourage branching and bushier plants.

Cultivation

Deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering. Not frost tolerant so remove plant after frost damage occurs.
