Germination
Sow directly. Sow 6mm deep into finely prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Ideal temp. 15-18°C. Water until seedlings emerge in approx. 6-8 weeks. Thin seedlings to 30cm spacing as they will grow and spread rapidly.
Growing
Prefers ordinary well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Plant in clumps for impact. Fertiliser not needed.
Cultivation
Weed or thin as required. Deadhead to prolong flowering window and to encourage further blooms. Will self-seed freely. Allow some plants to go to seed for next year. Other plants can be pulled and composted after flowering ceases.
