For outdoor cultivation sow thinly Mar-Jul where they are to crop, 10mm deep, into finely prepared moist well-drained soil which has been watered in drills 30cm apart. Germination 14-21 days but can take up to 40 days. When large enough to handle thin to 20cm spacing. For indoor use sow seed 2mm deep into small pots of compost, cover. Water well and place in a warm positions 18-21°C. Keep out of direct sunlight until germination occurs. Uncover once germination has occurred and grow on to maturity on a light windowsill.

Cultivation

Pick a few leaves from the outside of the plant as required. Cut and come again variety. This Biennial will require replacing after the second season once it flowers and produces seed.
