Germination

Direct sow in spring into prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Prefers a light well-drained soil. Avoid sowing in cold, wet soils. Sow seeds at 20mm deep with 30cm spacing.

Growing

Stone free soil is ideal as this plant creates a long tap root. Tolerant of most growing conditions but prefers a rich, moist, alkaline soil. Easy to grow.

Cultivation

This plant will self-seed freely. Deadhead if you do not wish for the plant to self-seed.
