Germination

Sow indoors. Sow into moist well-drained seed compost. Just cover the seed with compost. Propagate at 18-21°C. This can have very slow and erratic germination(14-90 days). Germination occurs in the dark. Keep the soil moist but not saturated water from the bottom only. Once germinated remove the cover to prevent damping off. Reduce temp. to 15°C(windowsill ideal). Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out 20cm apart in full sun.

Growing

Grow in a mass for best effect. Pinch back when first planted to encourage branching. Water deeply to encourage root growth.

Cultivation

Cut and come again variety. Cut flowers regularly to encourage growth and to prolong flowering window.
