Germination

Best sown directly where it is to flower after danger of frost has passed. Sow into a prepared seed bed which has been raked to a fine tilth. Surface sow and gently rake the seed in or press into the soil. Water well until germination occurs, germination should be rapid. Can be sown into 6" pots if preferred, if started in pots under glass the plants will need to be acclimatised and moved outside after danger of frost has passed. Once germinated allow to grow on undisturbed.

Growing

Prefers any soil in full or partial sun. Ideal for the middle of an ornamental border. Requires little attention.

Cultivation

This annual plant will self-seed freely.
