Germination
Prior to sowing place the seed in boiling water and allow soak for 24-48 hours. You may also scarify or nick the seed prior to soaking if desired. Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Water. Ideal temp. 18-21°C. Germination 4-30 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed or grow on in a greenhouse or conservatory.
Growing
Grow under glass in a loam-based potting compost in full light. When in growth water freely and liquid fertilise monthly. Water sparingly in winter, keeping barely moist. Can be grown outside in warmer climates.
Cultivation
Propagate by seed or semi-hardwood cuttings in summer. Pruning group 8. Prune April-May or after flowering.
