Germination
Sow directly Aug-April, ideally in spring. Broadcast sow onto prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Rake in seed and firm down well. Water and weed. Germination takes 7-21 days at 21°C, longer in cooler weather. Thin to required spacing.
Growing
Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Drought tolerant.
Cultivation
Cut back hard after flowering and when seed has fallen. Seed can remain viable in the soil for several years. Cultivate the soil the following year as the seed thrives in disturbed ground. Requires little attention.
