Germination
Sow directly Aug-April, ideally in spring. Broadcast sow onto prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Rake in seed and firm down well. Water and weed. Germination takes 7-21 days at 21°C, longer in cooler weather. Thin to required spacing.
Growing
Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Drought tolerant.
Cultivation
Cut back hard after flowering to encourage basal growth that will overwinter. Will self-seed. Propagate by seed, by division in spring or root basal cuttings in late spring.
