Germination
Sow indoors as soon as possible. Sow 5mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Must be kept moist and warm. Propagate 22-25°C. Germination takes 2-6 weeks approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots and grow on under glass.
Growing
Ideally grow under glass. Will tolerate any moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Ideal temp. 15-20°C for immature plants, 12-18°C for mature plants. Water regularly when dry. Can be tried outside in milder climates, in full sun, sheltered and frost-free. May be deciduous in cooler regions. Will only fruit in ideal growing conditions.
Cultivation
Prone to growing very tall with minimal branching making them prone to falling over, this may be caused by too little sun or over fertilising. Ideally do not feed until the plant is 2 years old. If growing too tall cut the leading tip of to encourage bushiness
