Germination

This mix contains a huge variety of species. Sow into a cold frame in autumn or sow indoors in spring. Some seeds included may be hard-coated, if so remove these and soak prior to sowing. Most seeds will not require soaking. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Sow thinly. Some seeds will germinate quickly at 15-20°C others will require a period of cold stratification. Sowing into a cold frame in autumn should offer ideal conditions for most seeds to emerge in spring as the weather warms. If sowing indoors carefully remove seedlings as they emerge leaving remaining seed tray contents to overwinter for further germination the following spring. Germination takes 1-26 weeks approx. Allow seedlings to grow on. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed. SOME PLANTS INCLUDED ARE TOXIC. DO NOT INGEST.

Growing

Prefers any moist, well-drained soil in full or partial sun. Easy to care for. Water during dry weather. There is a wide variety of plants included in this mix, some are annuals, most are perennials, some are hardy others are not. We hope you will enjoy identifying the individual varieties enclosed and caring for them accordingly.

Cultivation

Generally, deadhead to prolong the flowering window. Prune as required to maintain a pleasant shape and to remove damaged or congested branches. If the growing area is overcrowded lift and divide roots. Divisions may be planted elsewhere.
