Germination
Sow indoors Feb-Mar. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Propagate 20-25°C. Germination takes 20-25 days approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out when danger of frost has passed with 40cm spacing.
Growing
Prefers ordinary well-drained soil in full sun. If the soil is too rich the plants will become floppy. May require staking.
Cultivation
Deadhead to prolong the flowering window. Plant will die at the end of flowering. Pull plant and compost.
