Germination

Sow directly Mar-May, approx. 4 weeks before last expected frost. Sow thinly into prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Just cover seed with soil. Light is needed for germination. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Germination takes 14-21 days approx. Thin seedlings to 20cm spacing approx. Can be started early indoors / under glass if desired.

Growing

Prefers any well-drained soil in full sun. Drought tolerant. Full sun is needed for the flowers to open, the flowers will close if placed in shade and each evening.

Cultivation

Deadhead regularly to prolong the flowering window.
