Germination

Sow directly. Sow 2-3 weeks before the last expected frost date. Sow 10mm deep with 30cm spacing between seeds. Ideal temp. 15-18°C. Germination takes 10-14 days. Successional sow every 2 weeks for a continuous supply of flowers for cutting.

Growing

Prefers moist, well-drained fertile soil in full sun. Water during dry periods 1-2 times per week. Easy to care for.

Cultivation

Will self-seed freely. Pull unwanted seedlings early before the deep tap root develops. To collect seed secure a muslin bag around seedhead. When flowering has finished cut stems back to 30cm from ground.
