Germination
Sow indoors in early spring. Sow directly in late spring. Sow seed 5mm deep into prepared soil or seed compost. Keep moist. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Germination should be easy but can be erratic taking from a few weeks but can be much longer. Transplant indoor sowings when well grown and after danger of frost has passed. Thin direct sowings as required.
Growing
Prefers and fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in partial sun. Will tolerate full sun if the soil is consistently moist.
Cultivation
Remove dead foliage and spent flower stems in spring. Propagate by seed or by division in mid spring. Will self-seed freely.
