Germination
Sow in a cold frame in autumn. Sow directly in spring after danger of frost has passed. Directly, surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp. 18-20°C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks approx. In a cold frame, natural warmth, followed by winter cold should offer ideal conditions for germination to occur in spring as the weather warms. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle.
Growing
Prefers a moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full or partial sun.
Cultivation
Cut back after flowering. Propagate by seed.
