Sow

Germination

Direct sow into any good fertile soil which is well-drained. Sow 12mm deep, thinly spaced in drills 15cm apart. Germination takes 21 days approx. but can vary with temperature. Successional sow every 3 wells for continuous supply.

Growing

Once planted out cover with netting or fleece to prevent attack from birds and insects. Water freely during dry weather.

Cultivation

Harvest when pencil thin. Harvest alternate plants as required, this allows more space for remaining plants to develop.
