Germination
Sow under glass at any time. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seeds with a sprinkling of soil. Allow 15 cm spacing or 2-3 seeds per large pot. Place somewhere warm, temp. 21-25°C. Germination takes 1-3 weeks approx. Once germinated grow on under glass. Only move outside if desired and in warm weather.
Growing
Best grown in a cool conservatory or greenhouse in the UK. Prefers a loam-based compost in full light. May be grown outside in mild regions against a warm wall, a frost-free environment must be offered. Will benefit from a framework on white to climb.
Cultivation
Propagate by layering or semi-ripe root cuttings taken in summer. Pruning group 11. Prune after flowering. Routine pruning is not required, simply trim longer shoots to maintain a good shape or a preferred size.
