Germination
Easiest to sow directly in April. Broadcast sow onto well prepared soil that has been raked to a fine tilth. Rake in. Water. Sowing under glass will offer a higher germination rate. Sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. -4-+4°C for 2-4 weeks then move to warmth 20°C for germination. Transplant seedlings once large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 60cm spacing.
