Sow indoors in spring-summer. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Please in a propagator or seal in a polythene bag to maintain humidity. Ideal temp. 15-18°C. Germination takes 2-4 weeks approx. If germination does not occur cold stratify. Move to -4-+4°C for 2-4 weeks then return to warmth for germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on under glass for their 1st winter. Acclimatise and plant out the following spring.
