Germination

Sow directly. Sow Mar-Apr. for flowering in the first year or May-Oct. for flowering the following year. Sow 13mm deep into well-drained seed sowing mix. Ideal temp. 15°C. Germination takes 14-21 days approx. When seedlings are large enough to handle thin to 60cm spacing.

Growing

Prefers a poor to medium fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Protect from winter wet.

Cultivation

Deadhead to limit self-seeding. Harvest leaves as required. Harvest heads before they open.
