Sow under glass. Sow 1mm deep into moist well-drained seed compost and place in a cold frame at 15°C to overwinter most seeds will germinate as the weather warms in spring. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Grow on in the greenhouse for the first year. Plant out in spring with 40cm spacing.
Growing
Prefers moist well-drained, humus-rich soil in partial shade. Requires little attention.
Cultivation
Divide plants in late summer after the plant dies down.
