Germination

Sow under glass in early spring. Sow directly in late spring. Sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Germination takes 1-4 weeks approx. If grown under glass, acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.

Growing

Prefers a medium to light, ideally sandy, moderately fertile soil in a warm, sunny site. The plant will become more green and will spread more quickly with increased nitrogen but flower quality may suffer.

Cultivation

Requires little attention.
