Germination
Sow in autumn into a cold frame. Sow into moist, well-drained seed compost. Natural winter cold will offer ideal conditions for germination to occur the following spring as the weather warms. 3-5 months of cool weather followed by 1-4 months at 20°C is ideal. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots and grow on. Plant out in spring.
Growing
Prefers any well-drained soil in full or partial sun. Low maintenance. Tolerates drought. Protect from strong winds.
Cultivation
Requires little attention. Routine pruning is not required.
