Germination

Sow indoors. The seeds are tiny, open over a white sheet of paper, mix seed with a little silver sand to make sowing easier if desired. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Do not cover seed, light is needed for germination. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Keep moist. Germination takes 2-3 weeks approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and grow on in cooler conditions, 10-15°C. Pot on as required and treat as a houseplant or move to the greenhouse.

Growing

Grow under glass in a 12cm pot approx. Likes a moist, well-drained soil in filtered light. Can be moved outside in warm, frost-free weather.

Cultivation

Deadhead regularly.
