Germination
Sow indoors at any time. Sow directly or into a cold frame in autumn. Indoors, sow into damp vermiculite, place somewhere warm for 3 weeks then cold stratify for 8 weeks, then remove to warmth, sow seeds into seed compost for germination to occur, 18-21° is ideal. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Directly, sow into moist well-drained soil, autumn warmth followed by natural winter cold should allow germination to occur in spring as the weather warms.
