Germination

Sow directly in spring, after danger of frost has passed. Sow into prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth and watered. Sow 1-6mm deep approx. Ideal temp. 12-22°C. Germination takes 1-8 weeks approx. although most seedlings will emerge 1-4 weeks. Germination should be easy. Thin seedlings as required.

Growing

Prefers any moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Requires little attention. Water when the soil begins to dry.

Cultivation

Very easy to care for. Most varieties may self-seed. All will be cut down by frost. Pull and compost at the end of the growing season.
