Germination

Sow directly. Sow thinly into deep humus-rich soil which is moist but well-drained. Thin seedlings to 30cm spacing. Keep well watered. Harvest in around 10 weeks. Can be started earlier under glass in spring.

Growing

Prefers a deep humus-rich soil which remains moist but is well-drained.

Cultivation

Harvest by cutting shoots just before the flowers open. Harvest when the plant is young and tender. Can be grown as a short-lived perennial, cut down to a stump in autumn and it will re-grow in spring.
