Germination
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last expected frost. Sow directly after danger of frost has passed. Prior to sowing soak seeds for 24-48 hours. Indoors, surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp 18-22°C. Germination takes 1-3 weeks approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed. Directly, sow into prepared soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Thin to 30cm spacing.
Growing
Prefers a sandy, light, well-drained soil in full sun. Will tolerate any soil. A balanced fertiliser may be offered if desired. Pinch out growing tips for a bushier plant. Easy to care for.
Cultivation
Deadhead regularly to prolong the flowering window. Can self-seed where happy. Propagate by seed.
